Polish Us Pink First Post!!

So today is the first day for our Polish Us Pink posts for the month of October.  For those of you who don't know, October is breast cancer awareness month.  A few of my blogger friends and I got together and decided we wanted to do something to help or at least bring some attention to the cause.  So we decided we would do a post every Monday in October in honor of those fighting this awful disease.  I have a good friend who is battling breast cancer for the 2nd time in 4 years.  She is in her 30's and a beautiful mother of 3.  This cause is very close to my heart.  My grandmother beat it twice, my mom has had a few scares, and I myself have had a brush with breast cancer.  It doesn't discriminate, it can affect anyone, male or female, rich or poor.  Feel your boobies and save your life!!!

So without further ado, have a look at what I came up with for my first "Polish Us Pink" post....

I thought this turned out pretty cute!  You know Dot had to have a piece in it, she is such a diva!  When she found out I wasn't doing polka dots, the ho threw a major tantrum so I decided to include her.  I mean even for cancer Dot?  Step aside already!

My base color is OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, my absolute favorite white polish in the history of white polishes.  Is there even a log of the history of white polish?  Oh well, I love this polish as you all probably already know.  I have raved about it before.  It is not bright white, there is a little teensy weensy tinge of grey to it.  Perfection is what it is!  I then put on one coat of OPI I Juggle....Men, although I was disappointed with the outcome.  It was very hard to see over MBSW which I should have known but hey, I tried.  My ribbons are done with Zoya Dana, a really pretty bright pink that goes on so smooth and pretty.  I have it on my tootsies right now and it is beautiful, almost looks like a jelly!  The dots on my pinky and middle finger are done with Dana and Essie Raise Awareness, one of the breast cancer polishes from last year's collection.  It's a pretty baby pink that isn't the least bit chalky as most polishes this color tend to be.  I never used this color for a full mani but I will in the future, she is really a beaut.

    1. Thanks honey--I couldn't do it on my left hand. Those poor ribbons looked like they had been done by an intoxicated 3 year old. Haha
