Ok, back to the important stuff....nails!! Last night I was feeling a little wild so I decided to do a skittle mani. It was cute but it was missing something....so I pulled out the sponges. And boy, am I glad I did. It was just what I needed. Please don't crucify me for these pics. For some crazy reason, I didn't take pictures last night so I had to snap a few at work. Horrible lighting and tip wear from typing all day didn't add up to greatness. You can still see the cute design though...
The orange in the pinky finger looked a lot better IRL. I must have taken 40 pics and just couldn't get it to show up.
And here's a little peek at my rarely seen right hand. I really liked how the green turned out and wanted you guys to see it!
I used a ton of polishes for this.
Lighter color is listed first:
Blues- Essie Lilacism (obviously labeled wrong, I'm really not sure what it is but it is a pretty baby blue) and Sally Hansen Pacific Blue
Green- OPI Gargantuan Green Grape and Essie Mojito Madness
Pink- Essie Off the Shoulder and Sally Hansen Fuchsia Power
Purple- Essie Lilacism (the REAL one, gorgeous) and Sally Hansen Good to Grape
Orange- Zoya Wednesday and Essie Orange It's Obvious mixed with a drop of OPI I Eat Mainly Lobster
Told you it was a lot!! Here's what was left in the wake of my destruction.
Can you say hot ass mess?!
I love the look of this mani and it is pretty simple to do but it sure does take a lot of time. Maybe it's just me but whenever I sponge I end up making such a mess. If all my sponges were beer cans, it would look like a frat house after a rockin night!
Hope you kids enjoyed my version of the Skittle Mani!! Here's a little teaser for tomorrow night....China Glaze Bohemian Collection. I'm getting ready to swatch these pretties right now! Night loves!
