Anyway, here I am, let's get down to bizz-nass!
First up is a super fun mani I did a few days ago. As you can see, I couldn't figure out what to do so I did a little bit of everything. I actually love the way this turned out! I didn't want to take it off!
I am such a fan of these "everything but the kitchen sink" mani's. Maybe it's my crazy fly by the seat of my pants personality, but these work so well on me. I always get, "oh those nails are so you" whenever I have this type of mani on. This one was super fun, definitely a momma smacker!
I'll start with my pinky and move to the left...
- Pinky is Layla Ceramic Effect Pure Black. If you need a good black, this is your girl! Formula is awesome and the finish is super shiny.
- Ring finger is Loreal Grecian Goddess, with Sation Tall, Dark and Has Some on top. I freaking love this glitter!! It looks like a top of the line indie glitter. Formula was really nice (usually Sation glitters are thick and hard to work with), this one was very easy to work with! I did this same combination on my thumb.
- Middle finger is Julie G Kickin It. This is a gorgeous opal-ly (word of the day) blue that reminds me of summer! It looks just like the water in Bermuda, or the Bahamas, come on pretty momma, Key Largo Montego....ooops sorry I got a little carried away. Ahem, formula is somewhat sheer but builds up nicely in 2 coats.
- Index finger is Sinful Colors Ice Queen. This is easily going into the favorite glitter basket, and yes I do have one of those! Formula was great and I love the little specks of blue glitter running throughout this pretty lady!
Next up is a mani that is gonna make you say grrrrrr. (That was cheesy, even for me!)
Your mammy better be wearing a helmet, cause I'm in a smacking kind of mood! Yes I have now moved on to slapping other people's mothers. I have done enough damage to Francine for a lifetime.
I'm really loving funky mani's lately. If you're looking for delicate office appropriate nails, sadly you have come to the wrong place. Life is too short to have boring nails, and I'm allowed to wear them at work and I fully take advantage.
Colors used for this one:
Purple color is Sation Tardy Tart, my second favorite polish at the moment. (Now you're wondering what #1 is aren't you? Keep reading!) I grabbed this at Marshalls for $3 and I already know what is gonna happen. I'm going to run out of this one cause I will use it constantly, not be able to find another one and have to spend an insane amount ordering online. But I don't care, she is worth it! *hugs bottle*
OPI Who the Shrek Are You is the funky lime green color I used. I recently ordered this online and couldn't be happier. Formula is awesome, I mean its an OPI, formula is always amazing! I love this paired with purple!
Glitter on my middle finger is OPI Crown me Already. This is another Marshall's find. If anyone was watching me when I first laid eyes on this in the beauty section they would have thought I was having a seizure. I was so excited, I grabbed it, did a little gig and let out a loud EEEEEEKKKK. I already had my hands filled with other polishes so I gingerly walked, both hands filled with polishes, holding them up by using my chin and my bent body to get a cart at the front of the store. What a weirdo!! What I'm trying to say is, I love this freaking glitter!! Formula is perfection and this baby has some serious shimma!!
Ok last but not least is a pretty amazing polish from a pretty amazing chicky....
I'd like to introduce you to Everybody Loves Penguin from the talented Chels of Pretty and Polished. PnP was the first indie polish I owned, Jawbreaker to be exact. I feel in love immediately and I knew this brand would always have a special place in my heart. Customer service is awesome and polishes ship out in literally 2 days.
ELP is a milky white base with little yellow glitter and different sized black glitters throughout. These pictures are 2 coats over a base coat of white polish. The polish does build up to opacity, I just used a white base to save precious polish. I did have a little trouble getting the large black glitter onto the nail, I had to do a little fishing with a bobby pin. Well worth it though for the pay out!!
If you haven't checked out Pretty and Polished on Etsy, be sure to do so, you won't be disappointed!! Ps, I ordered her new Almond Biscotti Cuticle Oil, omg, excuse me while I bathe in the shit.
Ok that's it for today loves, hope I made up for being away all week!!
Happy Polishing!!!
I love your first one! I happen to like kitchen sink manis too. What a great way to knock out multiple polishes!
ReplyDelete"Excuse me while I bathe in the shit." Priceless! Hahaha
